ASHLEY BOOTH

Personal Trainer

Ashley became a certified personal trainer in 2008 and continues to surrounded herself with great mentors to extract from over the past 16 years – and she still loves her career!

Ashley understands we all eb-and-flow in life and the type of training you’re doing needs to serve you in your current life season. Ashley likes to meet you where you’re at and and help you progress to your goal with support.

JAMIE MORRISON

Personal Trainer

Jamie is an experienced trainer having not long moved down from Christchurch. After spending years in the banking industry he made the leap to personal training a few years ago. Because of this he understands the process of change all to well & loves helping clients make improvements in the gym that translate to a better life outside of it.

MADS KERR

Personal Trainer

With a background in personal training, group fitness, and high-performance snow sports coaching, Mads brings a well-rounded and practical approach to training. Her coaching focuses on building strength, confidence, and body awareness, with a strong emphasis on technique, progression, and supporting both physical and mental wellbeing. She has experience working with a wide range of clients, including women’s health, general population, and athletes.

With 18 years of experience in the fitness industry, Liam brings a wealth of knowledge and real-world expertise to every athlete he coaches. As a qualified running & strength coach, he specialises in both running performance and strength training, helping athletes build the strength, resilience, and efficiency needed to perform at their best.

With over 25 years of experience as a personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach, Steve continues to support a wide range of clients from athletes striving for peak performance, individuals on their personal rehabilitation journey and members motivated to improve their health, fitness, functionality and wellbeing.

GEORGIA HARDY-HESSON

Personal Trainer

With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry — including extensive work in back pain rehabilitation — Georgia's coaching is grounded in helping people move better, get stronger, and train with confidence at any stage of life. She has a particular passion for working with seniors, focusing on improving strength, power, balance and independence through structured, progressive training.

With over six years of coaching experience, Bec specialises in helping runners build consistency, gain confidence, and achieve personal bests through structured, sustainable training.
Bec's coaching approach is tailored to the individual, whether you're chasing performance goals, returning from injury, or navigating running through pregnancy and postpartum.

CHUCK SIMPSON

Co-Owner and Hype Man

Chuck comes from an extensive sports background and love of sport and fitness.
Chuck ran on the Penn State University cross country team, Junior Olympic ski racer and collegiate cyclist for Penn State University.
Chuck also boasts a credible coaching background of 24 years in the endurance sports and Fitness industry. Assisting and sports testing the Villanova University Swim team to assisting and sports testing Malvern Preparatory school champion rowing teams.

Chuck has lectured at Penn State University assisting the physiology department on blood lactate testing for professional and collegiate athletes in swimming, running and cycling.

Chuck brings his experience, education and love of fitness to the members and staff of FITGym.

BIANCA SIMPSON

Co-Owner and Gym Auntie

Bianca comes from an extensive professional sports background.
From a silver medal at the Road cycling world champs to competing in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Her experience of 17 years of owning her own gym with husband, Chuck in Philadelphia, USA.(co owner of FitGym)

Mentoring many high school to collegiate athletes in the gym and on the field. Personal training professional athletes, high risk youth, Professional men and women to those suffering from depression and food disorders.

She credits her love of fitness to her dear mentor and friend, the late Don Oliver- OBE. NZ Olympic weightlifter and fitness centre founder.

She brings her passion, tenacity, experience and compassion to our members and staff at FITGym

CASSIE KENNEDY

Business and Community

Cassie is originally from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia. She has spent the past four years living in New Zealand, where she found her forever home in Lake Hawea.

Her career began in photography, which naturally evolved into a broader role in marketing. Today, she brings a well-rounded skill set across marketing strategy, content creation, and business development, with a strong focus on systems, processes, and building positive team culture.

At FITGym, Cassie works across both business operations and community, combining a strategic mindset with a genuine passion for people. She enjoys creating an environment where members feel supported, connected, and part of something bigger, and is often found around the gym having a chat or helping out wherever needed.

Outside of the gym, you’ll likely find her in the mountains hiking, mountain biking, bike-packing, or snowboarding. When she can't be in the mountains (or lake), you'll find her working on whatever craft she has picked up that month.
